For my senior design project, I created a biomechanical glove that supports paralyzed individuals. The glove enables partial use of their hand, including opening and closing. An EMG sensor reads the patients movement and controls the brushed DC motor. The glove features pulse width modulation, with a wire structure and is low cost. The device was programmed in C using Arduino IDE software.
I gained one year of experience working for Universal Color Corp. as part of a
Co-Op opportunity last year. In this role, I diagnosed hardware and software
problems and also resolved technical and applications challenges. Additionally,
I installed and configured computer systems in an accurate, timely and
efficient manner.
