  Reporting to the Vice President of Product Development, assist with developing and engineering a variety of products for both the consumer and utility markets, including water and gas.

  Collaborate effectively with the Designer and the Vice President of Product Development, including overseeing 2D and 3D files to make metal detectors and night vision equipment.

  Design parts in plastic and metal, silicone and rubber and prove that sample parts fit, including post-consumer recycled (PCR) plastic parts and ensure parts can be easily assembled by workers in CAD.

  Coordinate 2D and 3D files, delivery and approval samples with a toolmaker located overseas.

  Resolve part and assembly issues of new products by working closely with QC and manufacturing.

  Oversee bill of materials (BOMs) and engineering change orders (ECOs) or notices.

  Helped create the first water resistant metal detector, including helping design its unique shape.

Senior Engineer, Product Development, Zimmer Trabecular Metal Technology Parsippany, NJ 2005-2010

  Created fixation surface designed for orthopedic and dental implants.

  Achieved equal or better maximum load-to-failure of tibial plateau (bone fracture in the shin) as a result of a new bone grafting tool.

  Improved a new anterior rod/plate system for scoliosis patients in terms of end-segment stabilization.
