Cardiovascular Information Systexxxxxx Analyst

Lead forward-thinking operational functionality of McKesson Cardiology (MC) Cardiovascular Information System (CVIS) for this 440+ bed facility, including monitoring patient healthcare data transfer across multiple application platforxxxxxx to permanent medical records for 100+ procedures daily. Demonstrate expertise in Cognos used to collect and report from entire MC CVIS, including mining data for specific reasons ranging from MD report billing to annual procedural counts. Perform daily CPT audits for invasive cardiac, peripheral, and neurology for reimbursement charges, and ensure physician documentation accuracy per Medicare, Joint Commission, American College of Cardiology, and Society of Thoracic Surgeons standards. Promptly troubleshoot data transfer failures (e.g. interface errors, system downtime) in MC, Cerner, Corepoint, and other proprietary applications. Direct back-end system modifications and maintenance within MC, and perform data tracking for supply, equipment, manpower utilization for budgeting, and staffing utilization. Maximize system functionality by collaborating among physicians, clinical staff cardiac cath /electrophysiology labs, vascular / echocardiography department, and stress / nuclear medicine. Audit daily MD reports to ensure criteria is met for reimbursements.
