Dear__________________:
In consideration of admittance into your FNP program, I am submitting my resume for review. In advance, thank you for your time.
As demonstrated, after earning an ASN in 2005 I launched my nursing career with Riverside University Health System as an ICU RN while continuing my education to successfully graduate with a BSN in 2008. After 5+ years in ICU, I transitioned to specialize as a Wound, Ostomy and Continence Nurse in 2011, subsequently completing a WOCN Nursing Ed Program in 2012 and adding WOCN and WCC credentials to my qualifications. In addition to comprehensive clinical, acute care skills, I have successfully assumed both leadership and collaborative roles in serving on hospital committees, working closely with multidisciplinary teams, delivering physician and nurse trainings, developing and implementing protocol/policies/procedures, and acting as liaison and key resource to medical/clinical professionals. Of note, prior to launching my nursing career I earned an MBA after initially graduating with a BS in Administration.
My goal is to successfully complete your program and earn FNP credentials in order to continue to contribute my expertise in the areas of Wound and Ostomy Care toward servicing underserved populations in the Riverside County community. I believe my track record both professionally and academically illustrates my drive to continually grow as a nurse, my commitment to delivering quality health care services and my ability to thrive and succeed in your FNP program.
I welcome the opportunity to further discuss my qualifications and am available to answer any questions at your convenience.
Professionally,
Christopher Tran, RN
