  Building a state campaign lead by a steering committee of clergy, lay leaders, and community activists.

Prior to this, I served as a Youth Justice Organizer for the Children s Defense Fund where I developed interactive workshops for youth, parents, and community groups to create awareness around juvenile justice reform efforts and educated and engaged the community to keep youth out of the pipeline of prison. This role was enhanced by my previous employment with Friends of Island Academy as an Outreach Worker and Coordinator of the academy s Youth Leadership Department.

To complement this experience, note that I earned a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and Public Administration from Medgar Evers College.
