Administer mission programs, informing the public through appropriate media, resolving inquires on passport requirements, leveraging knowledge of immigration legislation, policies and security guidelines to evaluate passport applications and interviewing applicants to assess citizenship eligibility, detect fraud, and resolve identity issues.
Provide administrative support to management, managing and prioritizing on incoming correspondences, distributing daily calendar loads to senior management, maintaining and organizing confidential personnel files, addressing and routing incoming calls to appropriate officers, preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and reports, and coordinating flight and hotel bookings for executive business travels.
Provide HR administration support, screening applicants and recommending applicants to be hired, disciplinary actions, promotions and firing as needed to preserve operational integrity and efficiency, and assisting in resolving labor-management issues and labor grievances.
Serve as liaison personnel for the Mission, maintaining a productive working relationship with local government agencies, international organizations and the United Nations organizations.
Coordinate and collaborate with internal and external agencies in ensuring completion of multi-departmental and functional programs, and ensuring contractual compliance by 3rd party suppliers/contractors.
Provide professional assistance as needed to maintain technical and functional competencies of partners, community and political groups, and other government agencies.
Supervise junior staff, providing guidance and consultative support, reviewing their work for correctness, and ensuring compliance with local, state and federal laws, statutes, directives, and standards.
Address complex, special, and emergency issues, preparing recommendations and reactive plans for execution.
Manage assigned resources, identifying service requirements from the public, and assisting management in designing and executing programs and policies, and recommending changes as needed to improve execution.
Conduct studies and research, either qualitative or statistical, in determining outcomes of programs and implementing rules, laws, and directives to ensure effective mission administration.
