During this time period, in addition to serving at Moody AFB, was deployed to Bagram Airfield between October 2015-April 2016 and am currently deployed to Southwest Asia; current deployment began in April 2017 and is scheduled for completion in October 2017. Leadership:

In February 2016 designed and implemented new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Task Force Crimson, a 45+-member unit, at Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan; these SOPs were designed specifically for unit and reflect unit s unique processes/procedures.

 

Organizing and Planning:

During September 2014 served as member of Board of Directors of Education Council for 200+-personnel squadron; successfully participated in directing use of $315,000 of Military Tuition Assistance (TA), which is a military-run program that provides funding for continuing education. Supported soldiers by providing information concerning the TA program and funding availability to promote effective utilization of the program.

 

Collaboration:

From April-October 2014, was member of the Quick Reaction Force of largest CENTCOM exercise in 26 years and involving 8,000 personnel from 19 separate countries; CENTCOM (Central Command) is organization tasked with overseeing all military operations in the Middle East. Was tasked with comprehensive responsibilities for interacting with personnel from other countries in coordinating security forces; specific assignment included protecting $1.2B worth of aircraft/resources as well as 1,200 personnel.

 

Problem Solving/Judgment:

From October 2015 through April 2016 successfully steered safety management program for unit of 45+ personnel in Afghanistan; adroitly utilized good judgment as well as problem-solving skills by identifying five major safety issues and coordinating with other agencies in promptly resolving surfaced issues/problems.

 

Communication:

During October 2015 was participant in four-day live fire Convoy/Shoot Move and Communicate/Close Quarters battle; expended 4,000+ rounds of ammunition and successfully honed skill levels required to provide crucial communication between peers as well as in small team tactics/interaction.

 

Initiative:

In May 2015, demonstrated personal initiative by proactively volunteering to provide advanced medical training as a Combat Life Saver (CLS) to personnel teams totaling 200 individuals representing 17 squadrons during exercise entitled Spartan Warrior. Spartan Warrior was a five-day inter-squadron military competition that determined best-in-category in areas ranging from shooting to job knowledge to other areas of specific military skills. CLS involvement in exercise required maintaining constant state of readiness as well as flexibility to assure appropriate and rapid response to any incidents of injury, illness or incapacitation of any type. Was successful in assisting two individuals who had succumbed to the effects of heat exhaustion and dehydration.

Flexibility/Adaptability:

From October 2015 to April 2016 demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in dealing with continually changing situations and new mission objectives while performing collaboratively during 37 off-base missions with partners from the Afghan military forces as well as other NATO militaries in Afghanistan. Was successful in assisting with the recovery/destruction of 688 pounds of HME, four IEDs, two weapons caches and 34 rockets, and recovered a $500,000 crane that had been stolen from airbase.

 

Interpersonal Strengths:

During March 2014 held responsibilities as point-of-contact for squadron during week-long group reunion. Event included 700+ attendees; personally led five events that honored the 187 former/retired group members at the reunion.
