Chicago IL 60611

Dear Rev. Andrea,

Re: Sub: Search Committee, St. Charles Episcopal Church, 994 North 5th Avenue, St. Charles, IL 60015

I have noted with interest St. Charles profile information, obvious commitment to the community it serves and need for a Rector. I am submitting my CV for your review. In advance, thank you for your time and consideration.

I have broad-based experience and share St. Charles focus on inclusivity and openness. Of course I work with parishioners of all ages but I do have particular heart for our youth as the world moves with increasing velocity toward secularism. I have and continue to pioneer local community projects and I am passionate about building personal face-to-face relationships as you will see in the enclosed CV. My sermons are theologically sound and spiritually appropriate, as is my approach to effective administration. I have great passion to meet every parishioner personally, identify their gifts and talents and encourage them to share those gifts and talents with their local Body of believers.

As you will see in the enclosed CV, I have extensive experience in successfully interacting with individuals from diverse cultural and spiritual backgrounds, meeting them where they are and building strong relationships. As Rector, I continually assess and identify existing and emergent needs to develop plans to grow a committed church family and loyal community while meeting parishioners and community needs. I also place high value on lay leadership. I mentor emerging leaders and utilize individuals unique talents and gifts to the benefit of the church, its people and the local community.

As demonstrated in the accompanying CV, my professional qualifications include a long history as Rector and Associate Rector as well as extensive educational preparation including a Doctoral degree and several Master s degrees. Further, I am an accomplished educator as well. My strong background in education as both educator and administrator facilitates Biblical and doctrinal instruction, special church-based programs and identifying individual needs.

I have effectively applied my skills and knowledge toward prayerful application of a combination of the concept of quality, continuous improvement and effective process enhancements to provide benefit for the local church, parishioners and the local community. To complement this background, I offer excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to collaborate with staff, management, lay leaders, parishioners, community members, leaders within other Christian denominations and others at all organizational levels. I also possess an outstanding blend of organization, prioritization, administration, leadership and interpersonal skills.

Though normally seen within a business perspective, I believe that much of my consistent success and growth is rooted within prayerful application of a combination of the concept of quality, continuous improvement and effective process enhancements. I am confident that I can be a valuable asset to St. Charles, its parishioners and surrounding community. I look forward to interviewing with you in the near future. Thank you and God Bless.

Sincerely,
