  Strong knowledge of algebra, geometry and trigonometry, including the latter with a hand calculator.

  Aboxxxxxx three months experience with honing and a month of experience with heat treating.

  Communicate effectively with engineers and maintenance personnel, including to reverse-engineer obsolete parts and prototype new parts.

  Maintain tight tolerances while building complex tooling for machines.

  Perform fabrication/machining, according to required specifications.

  Program Ez-track controllers and Acu-Rite controllers for prototyping/fabrication on three-axis servo controlled mills and Ez-path lathes for prototyping/fabrication on two-axis servo controlled lathes with constant surface speeds capability.

  Identify and repair any thread within parameters, including via the three-wire method.

  Hold surface finish requirements above what surface grinders can attain keeping a part within said tolerances.

  Leverage feeds and speeds within required completion times to extend tool life.
