Work closely with Directors, Supervisors and Public Safety Officers while applying multiple law enforcement practices/procedures with public safety operations and serve as representative of division management during formal tabletop activities at Froedtert Hospital, Children s Hospital and The Medical College of Wisconsin. Following participation in a 16-hour Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office SWAT training session in January 2016, developed and presented well-received Emergency Response to IED/Active Shooter lesson plan to the Security Departments of Froedtert and Children s Hospital.
Additional AOR includes Saint Charles Youth Residences and Wauwatosa Public Schools Charter Education Program facilities, which are utilized by approximately 20,000 staff, visitors and patients on daily basis.
Hold multiple law enforcement responsibilities including providing rapid response to property/personal crimes, traffic accidents and any disturbances that involve patients/visitors/employees. Diligently investigate incidents of reported sexual assault including interviewing witnesses, interrogating suspects, gathering evidence and processing crime scenes; also author and file all relevant/required reports and documentation and provide testimony as required during criminal proceedings.
Particularly skilled in responding to various situations and initializing Incident Command System, typically serving as Incident Commander, directing needed incident-response actions and deploying assets. Regularly interact with individuals of widely-varied socio-economic backgrounds and, in response to negative situations, often required to employ Crisis Interaction Team (CIT) capabilities.
Proficiently assist with preparation of Chapter 51 mental health Emergency Detention civil commitments; interview subjects as well as witnesses and provide crucial support for other police agencies as well as courtroom security during Chapter 51-related proceedings; skilled in employing self-defense methodologies in response to negative situations.
Expertly provide strong, supportive participation in assisting Police and Fire respondents in other jurisdictions with performing investigations or dealing with mass casualties, such as shootings or other violence, or natural emergencies.
Beginning in 2003, have assisted with field training operations for approximately 250 new officers of the Patrol Bureau and on biannual basis support Patrol Bureau State-mandated in-service training of all sworn officers. Additionally, due to subject matter expertise and training,

serve as Vehicle Contact Training Instructor for personnel from various Police agencies seeking State Certification by the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office Training Bureau.
Proficiently oversaw all biannual in-service training for 18 motor officers from the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office as well as motor officers affiliated with other local jurisdictions at the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety. As a Certified Northwestern University Instructor provided crucial direction for 40 Motor Officer candidates involved in four separate two-week Basic Police Motor Officer training classes.
Successfully gained Certification as an Emergency Vehicle Operations and Control Master Instructor (EVOC/MIT) and serve in supervisory role for other EVOC instructors, overseeing biannual State-mandated in-service emergency vehicle operation training as well as conducting training for personnel from other Police agencies that have contracted with the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office Training Bureau to gain State certification. Employed Wisconsin Law Enforcement Standards Bureau 80-hour Lecture and Practical Emergency Vehicle Operation and Control curriculum to teach 30 Deputy Sheriff recruits from the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office; additionally, as co-Supervisor, taught same curriculum to 20 recruits from the Marquette University Police Department.
Responsibilities in early assignments with the Milwaukee County Sheriff s Office included performing array of bailiff duties at The Milwaukee County Courthouse and The Milwaukee County Children s Court, managing housing/pretrial activities for detainees within the Booking Intake area, and serving as member of the Correctional Emergency Response Team (CERT) which was tasked with providing immediate and decisive responses to any physical disturbances involving inmates at the detention facility.
