Recently, as a Scientist / Project Leader for SeqWright Genomics Services (GE Healthcare), I expertly led Next-Gen sequencing / molecular biology projects, including conducting daily data review and quality control approvals, mentoring and managing a top-performing team of senior and staff scientists, and creating and / or enhancing SOPs.

Prior to this, I served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Microbiology & Immunology at Virginia Commonwealth University where I personally cultivated a difficult-to-culture Borrelia-type bacteria, investigated infection mechanisms of 2 different Borrelia species using a mouse model, and co-created a solutions-focused tick model system Ixodes scapularis. I also have experience as a Graduate Research Assistant in Genetics and Genomics at Duke University.
