Developed new formulations by modifying existing products and exploring new resin options.

Designed a quality board for 2 part epoxy adhesives manufacturing to reduce defective products, coordinating with materials suppliers and customers to support ongoing projects, evaluating product testing results, and finalizing product formulation and processes for commercial application.

Completed Independent project: Evaluation and technical comparison of client's matting agent products vs. competitive products in 100% solids UV curable wood coatings and metal DTM coatings.

State University of Xxxxxx Ÿ Xxxxxx, XXXXXX

Research Assistant - UV/EB Technology Center, College of Environmental Science & Forestry 2011 Present

Accomplishments to date:

Completed Ph.D. Dissertation on Visible Light Curing of Fiber-Reinforced Impact-Resistant Panels a research focused on developing visible light curing methods to manufacture fiberglass-reinforced composites, successfully proving the viability of industrial implementation of visible-light curing technology and facilitating the initial steps towards commercialization.

Designed a multi-LED array curing unit with an efficient water cooling system for constant operation, developing visible light curable resin systems to achieve desired mechanical properties, and conducting various mechanical testing sessions to establish the correlation between physical performance and material properties.

Investigated distribution of the LED array irradiance to assess effectiveness in inducing photo polymerization, evaluating effects of various factors (number of layers, curing time, photo initiator concentration, different oligomers) on degree of polymerization using FTIR ATR.

Developed a laboratory drop impact screening test to simulate Underwriters Laboratory (UL) 752 Ballistic Standards Lever 3 Test.

Achieved 90% reduction in energy consumption and 85% in processing time through an economic analysis and comparison with conventional heat curing method.

Graduate Teaching Assistant 2010 - 2015

Conducted classes in CME 226- Statics and Mechanics, and CME 202- Introductory to Professional Communications.
