Successfully perform broad-based human rights-based vetting of military, police and security force personnel receiving U.S. assistance as defined by Leahy Amendment (FY 2007 FOAA Act D.L. 104-208); serve as lead Human Rights Coordinator for Bureau of Near East Affairs and all NEA U.S. American Embassies. and work closely with DRL and NEA to provide advisement and consultation
regarding direction of surfaced information.
Expertly participate in reviewing/analyzing various current as well as proposed policies/standards/criteria for DRL, PM/RSAT and other agencies; authored important relevant report on changes to Leahy Law and regularly collect/research/evaluate intelligence from multiple sources concerning various prevailing laws/regulations to assess individual/unit applicants for U.S. federal funding.
Skillfully develop excellent working relationships with staff personnel at various levels including NEA Assistant Secretary, NEA Ambassadors and DOD Representatives; also work closely with members of DRL, PM/RSAT and DDTC, maintaining communication with the foreign policy community via email, telephone, inter-/intra-agency meetings and briefings with senior regional officials.
