         Deliver comprehensive nursing care for a caseload of critically ill patients; review assessment data to determine their needs

         Identify patients at risk for complications due to disease processes, medications and overall health status; evaluate their vital signs and record laboratory data to decide upon the need for emergency intervention

         Evaluate, document and report changes in patients symptoms or conditions

         Administer medications intravenously, via injection, orally, as well as through ET/N/G tubes

         Assess patients pain levels and use the data to decide upon sedation requirements

         Titrate sedatives, vasopressors, inotropes and catecholamine as needed

         Administer blood and blood product transfusions; closely monitor patients for symptoms of possible reactions

         Monitor patients fluid intake and output to detect concerns such as fluid and electrolyte imbalances
