I am currently seeking inclusion in the Senior Executive Service (SES) Candidate Development Program and am submitting my resume for your review. In advance I thank you for time and consideration.

As demonstrated in the accompanying resume, during my career encompassing multiple years of varied but relevant experience, I have continually met/exceeded organizational goals, placing exceptional focus on managing and directing Information Technology planning and strategic and plan development initiatives, implementing emerging technologies, developing various areas of Human Capital and authoring/co-authoring multiple relevant reports and white papers.

I have successfully held management positions over the past nine years including serving as Acting Director of Health Business Informatics for the Food and Drug Administration in Rockville, MD, and, earlier, as Director, Healthcare Business Informatics Operations at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, MD. In these assignments I was tasked to deliver IT services for the Department of Health and Human Services, oversee a $20 Million IT budget, manage the work performance of 200+ staff personnel and oversee multiple contracts and interagency agreements for IT and Human Capital Services. Additionally, for the Naval Medical Center, I skillfully established multiple IT systems, served as Senior Advisor for the Office of Information Management Technology, developed IT policies, delivered analyses and oversaw an annual $10 million budget.

As delineated in detail in the attached resume, in all of my assignments I have consistently demonstrated my outstanding Executive Core Qualifications and capabilities in Leading Change, Leading People, being Results Driven, continually applying Business Acumen to a myriad of situations and scenarios, and displaying crucial expertise in Building Coalitions.

I am a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and have served as a Professor of Business for the University of Maryland University College. My professional affiliations include membership in the Scientific Computing Board, Open Data Initiatives and Data Standards Advisory Board; I have also served as the CIO of the Council, Health and Human Services.

My educational credentials include a Doctorate of Strategic Leadership, a Masters of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management.
