         Recently retained in a contract capacity to spearhead full-scope pharmacy operations upon development of a new, state-of-the-art nursing home.

         Efficiently closed in-house pharmacy in alignment with NYS and DEA regulations, and sold inventory to new, outsourced pharmacy service.

         Examined initial pharmacy service cart system to ensure seamless transition of new carts to units, and collaboratively set up five med rooms in new building.

         Established and implemented new OTC and bulk storage area, ordered inventory from wholesaler, labeled resident-specific medication, and distributed bulk stock as needed.

         Returned discontinued Rxs for credit and oversaw destruction of outdated narcotics according to state criteria.

         Prior to new nursing home, independently championed the complete spectrum of daily pharmacy operations.

         Processed prescriptions, located drugs from inventory, and closely monitored patient medication profiles for drug interactions, dosage information, auto refills, precautions, and drug-disease contraindications.

         Validated all controlled substances and maintained CII inventory.

         Supervised, mentored, and directed contracted pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.

         As an integral member of the management team, participated in regular meetings and annual state inspections.
